Necessary Clothing Store Opening Party

Necessary Clothing stores are like Starbucks downtown on Broadway - in Soho and Tribeca they even sometimes pop up across the street from each other! But, with their prices, who's complaining? You might have to dig at a Necessary Clothing, but it's so. Worth. It. You can work those of-the-moment trends without investing so much in something that might be over in an instant. For basically the cost of lunch, you can have one seriously fashion-forward look. So, I was all over it when my intrinsically chic friend, Casey, informed me of the new store opening party. Finally, a location not on Broadway - this one's around the corner on Canal between Broadway and Lafayette. I gotta say, it's the nicest one yet. It's huuuge. At the party, there were delish Veet cocktails, teeny-yummy hors d'oeuvres, a photo booth (with props!), and my favorite: an area where you could get a free canvas tote customized by a graffiti artist. I got a penguin, natch. There was also a 15% off discount, which was swell considering the prices at that store are basically free to begin with.

Handbags and Hugs,

Astor
