Beauty Secrets Revealed Volume VI

If you have read Volume One, Two, Three, Four and Five, you know that I am jammed packed with beauty tips and secrets. Because I love you (and have a big mouth) I couldn’t help myself from sharing more! If you are selfishly hoarding some of your own secrets, you better email me at SobbingOnFifth@gmail.com and share them. And include your name, if I love it I will feature it next month and give you credit!
1.) Hide Your Roots with A Zigzag Part
If you color your hair, you are of course, bound to get roots. Whether you go to Orlo (like my mom) or a drugstore to get your box of hair color it's understandable that you can’t cover your roots the second they show up! But you can hide them and make them less noticeable. Just do a messy, zigzag part. Having a straight part or a tight ponytail will only draw attention to those roots.
2.) Penetrate Your Hair with A Deep Conditioner With A Shower Cap
You should be using a deep conditioner once a week to keep your hair healthy and moisturized. After applying the deep conditioner cover your hair with a shower cap. Using a shower cap will ensure you are getting the most out of your deep conditioner or hair mask. I leave a shower cap inside my shower so that it is always handy. After you pop on the cap do the rest of your shower routine: scrub, shave, use a pumice stone, etc.
3.) Keep Your Feet Silky Smooth
It's summer time and you are now in sandals. Rough, dry, cracked feet? No, thank you, that is not a good look – this will ensure that no one is noticing your new Prada sandals because your yucky feet are too distracting. You should use a pumice stone on your feet in the shower… EVERY DAY! Waiting until your feet are in bad shape is not the time to start scrubbing away. If you are using one daily you can be gentle yet effective.
PS – This is the perfect opportunity to have on that shower cap from tip number two!
4.) Remove Nail Polish Whips Without Remover
This tip should not become your go to – you should be using remover when you change your polish. But in a pinch if you have really chipped nails and no polish remover handy you still have the chance to remove it. Apply some clear polish over your chipped nail, this will loosen the chipped polish and you can rub it off with a cotton ball.

5.) Protect Your Lips From The Sun
You know how important it is to wear an SPF when you’re gallivanting around in the sun. But people always seem to forget their lips! Obviously, I am obsessed with having my lips in perfect condition (perfectly glossed kisses anyone?). So I try and always wear a balm with sunscreen. My go to this summer is the Intense Protection LypMoisturizer by LypSyl with SPF 15, as I shared with you last week. If you don’t have a balm with sunscreen handy and always have something on your lips (gloss, balm, lipstick, tint) like I do, just make sure that you don’t have a shiny gloss on while you’re in the sun. Glosses are reflective and wearing them at the beach will ensure you burn your pretty pout!
Perfectly Glossed Kisses,
Sutton
