DIY Scarf Organizer

Let's just say I have more than one scarf... in fact, I have about a million. While winter may be over soon, I don't say goodbye to them. I just unpack all of my summer scarves! Hanging them on my coat rack isn't working - there are too many of them. And it's impossible to find the one I want to wear, I can't see them all. It was time for a solution. I was planning on buying a scarf hanger, but I realized I could make it myself.

All you need is a hanger, shower curtain rings and string.

I bought the wrong ones - they didn't close on their own, so I had to use a piece of tape to keep them closed.

If you buy the correct rings (that click closed by themselves) you don't need any tape.

Use a piece of string to tie the first ring to the hanger.

Next, tie another ring to the hanger and then tie the two rings together.

Continue doing this in a row along the hanger.

Now onto the second row!

After three rows I ran out of rings, so I was finished.

Loop your scarves through the rings.

You're finished! Hang this in your closet for easy access (it's only in my bathroom for the picture!)

Vogue Covers That Were Actually Good, Even Great

I'm feeling a little over Vogue - a slow fade-out has been hurried along thanks to a certain recent incident we shan't discuss. It's sad - this is supposed to be the sort of bible of fashion. To reminisce fondly on the days when this magazine was the unrivaled fashion authority and celebrated runways more than E! reality shows, here are some favorite past covers from the glossy's own archives of over 120 years.

What We're Wearing March 21st, 2014

Today I'm wearing a DIY French mani, easy peasy. Anyone can do this manicure - no steady hands, tape, or a nail technician required. After painting two coats of Essie nail polish in angora cardi, I let them dry completely. Once your nails  are dry, use a shimmery polish, I used Marc Jacobs Polish in Le Charm, to cover the tips of my nails. Don't worry about making a clean, precise line - smudge away! This manicure is such a fun twist on a classic.

Today I’m wearing a sports jersey dress with creepers. I really like the clash of an athletic look with either a punkish accent or a polished, ladylike twist – all the way sporty is too, well, sporty for me. I think the simple switch of sneakers for pumps or a hoodie for a leather jacket when you’re wearing a jersey-inspired dress is what takes it into fashion-forward territory. I thought I’d give you some inspiration for working the look yourself:

Top Three Coveted Items

I've been on a semi-shopping ban lately, trying to save for some traveling and some bigger ticket items. Things always seem even more irresistible when you're not spending - these are the three things I'm dreaming of the most, and that might get that splurge ticket when I take a break from the ban!
