What We're Wearing March 7th, 2014

Today I used my Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Dark-Circle Eye Roller. It's easy to apply and you don't need to use your fingers - just roll the ball under and around your eye. It has a cooling sensation, which feels nice, de-puffs and fades dark circles! This is a perfect product to use under makeup. The best part has to be the price and that you can grab it at a drugstore.

I don’t tend to pay much attention to lingerie – just not one of those people who are into pretty underpinnings – but when Vintage Heartland popped into my inbox, my interest was piqued. This line is inspired by country music, which I can’t help but think is just so different, and sweet. It’s rare to find lingerie with such a story. And I love how that inspiration carries into the designs: there’s just a hint of country-influenced flair and a lot of romance at work in these beautifully crafted items. They’re so just undeniably pretty (and affordable!) that they might be enough to make me interested in lingerie.

From designer Kate Liegey and the team:

“Inspired by the romantic love stories sung in country music, Vintage Heartland (http://vintageheartland.com/) took their two loves of country and vintage style and fused them into creating the Vintage Heartland Brand for lingerie and intimate apparel. So no matter where you live, north, south, east or west, in a big city or a small town, there is always a little bit of a Vintage Heartland girl in all of us. Our designs look expensive-but they are not because we believe that we can offer affordable products that are truly pretty. We pride ourselves on having a great fit, beautiful quality and fashion trends that reflect our vintage country life style.”

Leanne Skirted Panty, $22

Some other good things to know:

The team has over 25 years of experience crafting the perfect designs and fits.

The brand is environmentally and socially conscious, avoiding unfair trade practices and working on building the “first green high technology apparel factory in Nashville.”

 Crystal Bustier, $56

They use America’s farmlands as their backdrops for shoots and support the American Farmland Trust. They also support the idea of real women and real beauty! They use singers, songwriters, students, entrepreneurs, etc. as models.

So, while I’m not wearing Vintage Heartland at this moment, I will certainly be buying into the brand so I can report back on just how much I know I’ll love it – and you should, too!

Handbags and Hugs,

Astor
