DIY Body Treatments

(Image via WillowsLodge.com)
You now know the hair treatments and skin masks that I do at home, using only ingredients from the kitchen. Time to move onto the neck down and see the body treatments I use as well!

Hand & Foot Exfoliant
Ingredients:
4-6 ripe Strawberries
1 tsp of Coarse Salt (you may use sea salt or kosher salt)
2 tbsp Olive Oil

Mash up the strawberries, and then add in the rest of the ingredients. Mix them all together. Now scrub all over hands and feet. Rinse off and enjoy your soft skin. The natural fruit acid in strawberries is a gentle exfoliant. You can add the leftovers to a sealed container in the fridge and it will last a week.

Softening Foot Mask
Ingredients:
2 cucumbers
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp olive oil

Mash all the ingredients. (This will be faster and easier if you use a blender.) Split the mixture in half and pour each half into a plastic bag. Wrap the bags over each foot. Massage them into your skin and relax for ten minutes.

Body Moisturizing Mask
Ingredients:
2 avocados mashed
3 table spoons sea salt
1/4 cup honey
2 whole lemons (rinds and juice)
1/4 cup coconut or olive oil (but you should have already bought coconut oil after I told you how amazing it is!

Apply to skin and let sit for ten to fifteen minutes. (Don't let anyone walk into your bathroom while you do this, could be super awkward). Now hop in the shower, scrub and rinse. If you have extra you can put it in a container in the fridge and do this again in two or three days.

Tropical Body Scrub
Ingredients:
3-4 large grapefruits
4 to 5 tablespoons of coconut or olive oil
1/2 cup sea salt

Cut the grapefruits in half and squeeze out all the juice into a bowl. Now take the grapefruits and rub them on extra dry areas like knees, elbows and feet. Back to the bowl of juice, mix in the oil and salt. Use that before you get into the shower as a full body scrub.

Caffeine Body Scrub
Ingredients:
1 cup coffee grounds
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup salt
1/8 cup olive or coconut oil

Many believe coffee can help reduce cellulite and varicose veins. True? Maybe. But either way this scrub won't make them worse and will definitely leave you smooth and soft!

Perfectly Glossed Kisses,

Sutton
